Medical Office Assistant
Description:
This class prepares students for diverse employment opportunities in a variety of health care facilities. Students will learn front and back office procedures, including administrative procedures, medical terminology, medical insurance, patient billing, electronic health records, vital signs, phlebotomy, and advanced computer skills related to the medical industry. As the medical field is evolving into a digital workforce, students are required to be adept at electronic health records as well as safety and privacy regulations. Students gain valuable knowledge in customer service, the foundations of a medical office, and the skills needed to be successful citizens and employees.
Hours:
Morning session – 8:10 – 11:10 a.m.
Afternoon session – 12:45 – 3:45 p.m.
